TRAFFIC LIGHTS

A traffic light, also known as a traffic signal or stoplight, is a device used to control the flow of traffic at intersections, crosswalks, and other locations where multiple streams of traffic converge. It typically consists of a vertical pole with three colored lights (red, yellow, and green) arranged in a vertical sequence.

Traffic lights are an important tool for managing traffic flow and reducing the risk of accidents at intersections. They are often controlled by a centralized system that coordinates the timing of signals at different intersections to optimize traffic flow. Some traffic lights may also include additional features, such as pedestrian crossing signals or audible signals for the visually impaired.

300MM LIGHTS

The 300mm light is typically used for the primary traffic signal that faces the main direction of traffic flow. It is also often used for pedestrian signals and left-turn signals. The large size of the 300mm light makes it easier for drivers to see from a greater distance, and it helps to improve visibility in adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain or fog.

200MM LIGHTS

The 200mm light is typically used for secondary traffic signals or for signals that face less traffic. It may also be used for pedestrian signals, right-turn signals, or warning signals such as the “caution” signal. The smaller size of the 200mm light makes it suitable for use in areas with limited space or where a smaller signal is more appropriate.

2-WAY PEDESTRIAN LIGHTS

Two-way pedestrian lights usually consist of two pedestrian signal heads mounted on a single pole, facing in opposite directions to indicate when pedestrians can cross the road in either direction. The signal heads typically display the universally recognized symbols of a walking person (green) and a hand (red).

COUNTDOWN TIMER FOR PEDESTRIAN AND TRAFFIC CONTROL

Countdown timers for pedestrian and traffic control are usually controlled by the same centralized system that controls traffic signals for vehicles and pedestrian signals. They are often used in conjunction with other safety features such as speed cameras and red light cameras to improve safety and reduce accidents at intersections.

ARROW CROSS LIGHT

The arrow cross light is typically used to indicate a “protected” turn, meaning that vehicles are permitted to turn in a specific direction while other traffic is stopped. For example, an arrow pointing to the left would indicate that vehicles in the left lane are permitted to turn left while other traffic is stopped.
